目前主要研究领域：

中药资源、种质创新研究。

1、2022年湖北省中央财政林业科技推广示范项目：杜仲繁育及生产关键技术应用示范（鄂[2022]TG06号），2022-2024，80万元，在研，主持。

2、2021年中央财政部门预算项目“国家药用植物种质保存与利用支撑平台的可持续发展”子课题：湖北分所药用植物园在地物种信息补充完善及更新，2021/01-2021/12,10万元，结题，主持。

3、湖北省中央引导地方科技发展专项：湖北省药用植物资源保存与繁育中心建设（2018ZYYD013），2018/08-2020/12，100万元，结题，主持。

4、湖北省技术创新专项：恩施富硒中药资源本底调查（2016AKB053），2016/08-2018/08，结题，主持。

5、国家中医管理局项目：“中药质量标准库建设项目—种质基因库”（2017-110108-83-03-001423）子课题“竹节参、玄参、白花前胡种质资源收集”，2018/01-2018/12，结题，第一执行人。

1、科技奖励：

2009年“滇东南喀斯特地区植物多样性、资源安全和永续利用研究”项目获云南省自然科学二等奖（2009BA277-2-R06）。

2012年“鄂西南山区特色中药资源保护与开发”项目获湖北省科技进步二等奖（2012J-245-2-075-067-R05）。

2015年“中药竹节参资源品质评价、规范化种植、药效机理研究与应用” 项目获湖北省科技进步一等奖（2015J-234-1-033-030-R07）。

2、新品种审（认）定

当归新品种“窑归1号”（鄂审药2013001）通过湖北省农作物品种审定委员会审（认）定，（排名第四）。
